Stop Listening to Limbaugh!: Obama Clearly Worried

As he talks down the economy Barack Obama is showing alarming signs of pessimism and paranoia. From The Telegraph (U.K.):

Mr Obama has told Republicans in Washington to stop listening to the right-wing talk show host Rush Limbaugh, risking a new culture war with conservative voters..... After less than a week in office, Mr Obama's presidency is already encountering the very partisan bickering he had pledged to stamp out during his first 100 days....

He... told (Republican House leaders)... to break free of the confrontational mindset epitomised by Mr Limbaugh, the highest paid talk show host in America. "You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done," Mr Obama said.... His comments followed a blunt attack on him by Mr Limbaugh, who declared on air that he hoped Mr Obama would fail as president because otherwise it will usher in socialism.

What Limbaugh actually said:

"“So yes, I would hope he would succeed if he acts like Reagan. But if he’s going to do FDR — if he’s going to do The New New Deal all over, which we will call here The Raw Deal — why would I want him to succeed? Look, he’s my president. The fact that he is historic is irrelevant to me now. It matters not at all. If he is going to implement a far-left agenda... Look, I think it’s already decided: a $2 trillion in stimulus? The growth of government? I think the intent here is to create as many dependant Americans as possible looking to government for their hope and salvation. If he gets nationalized health care, I mean, it’s over, Sean. We’re never going to roll that back. That’s the end of America as we have known it, because that’s then going to set the stage for everything being government owned, operated, or provided. Why would I want that to succeed? I don’t believe in that. I know that’s not how this country is going to be great in the future; it’s not what made this country great. So I shamelessly say, “No! I want him to fail.” If his agenda is a far-left collectivism — some people say socialism — as a conservative heartfelt, deeply, why would I want socialism to succeed? “

Tax Cheat-in-Chief Guards Treasury

Senate today confirms Timothy Geithner as Secretary of the Treasury; vote was 60-34. The band played on while the MSM was silent about the absurdity of putting the fox in charge of the hen house. This is the ultimate insult to Americans who work hard and pay their taxes. Our CT senators Liberman and Dodd voted to confirm. Senator Susan Collins (R-Maine) was a prominent Republican NO vote, saying:

Throughout the state of Maine and indeed throughout the nation, millions of hard-working Americans pay their taxes on time and in full. Our taxation system is essentially an honor system that depends on self-assessment and honesty. When taxpayers make mistakes, they are expected to correct them promptly and completely. Rarely do I hear of the 3-4 thousand misslie that have fallen upon Israel over the last several years.

and rocketed, or that the Egyptians give quiet tacit approval to the infiltration of rockets from their contiguous border,

or that Hamas, Hezbolah, and the Taliban are all supported by Iran, who is the true culprit of moral animus in this world, along with their puppet, Syria, eta, or that those same Mosques, schools, and hospitals are launching/storage points of

weapons of mass destruction (missles-new and improved/made in Iran or China), or that children are taught to Hate through song and Martyrdom. Or that Israel is tiny, at it narrowist only 7-8 miles wide, with a view of the Mediterranean from the Golan Heights, on a clear and sunny day.

How would Americans respond if drug lords from south of the Rio Grande launched missiles (with a blind eye from the Mexican government) onto San Diego and southern U.S.towns, twenty five miles into our border? Would we determine the extent of our wrath by limiting a response to equaling the number of deaths and injuries sustained by our civilians; or our soldiers; or our infra-structure? Would not the police in your town respond with all at their disposal if a threat was at hearth and home? Or would "one" deign to ask for a band aid while the transgressor is huffing and puffing at your very threshhold? I choose to protect my life and limb, property, loved ones, and the right to quiet enjoyment. It is difficult to loose the dogs of war in the midst of cyber-space. Only Western armies even attempt to diminish the risk of civilian casualties, at the cost to the safety of "le soldat". But each casualty is counted; even the unsubstantiated or

exaggerated...The fish I caught was yeaaaaah big!!...It is not my intent to make light of death and suffering, but neither

should one continually turn the other cheek whilst being molested...That ability is best left for those more divine than I.

The Solution:

From a bourgeoise perspective; Mother Palestinians-self actualize your children. Preach love, peace, education. Be constructive in thought and action. Forgive...Peace...Shalom...Salam...

From the intransigent perspective; Push Zion into the sea.

Mothers-Take back your children's lives from outside instigators. Remove Hezbolah/Hama/Iranian Influence...

Allow a Nato peace Force to be a temporary stepping stone toward an independent and stable state.

Rejoin the world by emulating your great ancestral scholars, astronomers and mathematicians.

Turn Jihad into Plowshares...Allah and your children will be lovingly proud.

A year has gone by and still no peace for the murdered Said sisters, Sarah and Amina. Their father, Yaser Said pictured above, is still on the run. A segment on America's Most Wanted last November has yielded no clues so far.

Christmas Now Official Holiday in Iraq

Christmas has come to Iraq. While Christians are a tiny minority they received a joyous gift from the Iraqi government: Christmas is nwo an official holiday. CBN News reports from Baghdad:

Iraq's Christians, a scant minority in this overwhelmingly Muslim country, quietly celebrated Christmas on Thursday with a present from the government, which declared it an official holiday for the first time.....

In his homily on Thursday, Chaldean Cardinal Emmanuel III Delly praised the establishment of Christmas as an official holiday as a step toward easing tensions.

"I thank the government for giving chances to all to serve each other for the general benefit, and I thank it too for making this day an official holiday where we pray to God to make us trust each other as brothers," he said at the Christmas Mass before several dozen worshippers in the small chapel of a Baghdad monastery.

A senior Shiite cleric, Ammar al-Hakim, attended the Mass flanked by bodyguards in a gesture of cooperation with Christians.

"I thank the visitors here and ask them to share happiness and love with their brothers on Christmas; by this they will build a glorious Iraq," the cardinal said.
